Boston Mayor Michelle Wu issued an executive order directing the city to submit regular FOIA requests to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security concerning federal immigration enforcement activity within Boston, including the data, time, and location of enforcement activity, names of those arrested or detained, and policies relating to federal officers’ use of face masks and display of identification. The order also noted that the city shall ensure Know Your Rights information is available to Boston residents.
