Short Description

The Durham City Council unanimously passed a resolution declaring Durham a “Fourth Amendment Workplace”, directing city staff to uphold the 4th Amendment, which protects against arbitrary searches and arrests, in an effort to strengthen protections for city workers following federal immigration arrests. The resolution also directed city agencies to report back to the Durham City Council on any barriers to effective training on the 4th Amendment.
