Short Description
After a multi-day ICE and Tennessee Highway Patrol enforcement operation in Nashville, Mayor Freddie O’Connell signed an executive order strengthening a longstanding city policy by requiring Metro emergency and non-emergency employees to report any interactions with federal immigration officials within 24 hours (down from three days), and directing the Mayor’s Office of New Americans to publish an annual public report on those interactions, including the requesting agency and whether the request was granted or declined.
