The Health Care Without Fear Act, SB 1570, requires hospitals and federally qualified health centers to adopt policies for responding to law enforcement at their facilities, designate non-public areas, treat immigration status and place of birth like protected health information, and prohibits retaliation against staff who share ‘Know Your Rights’ materials with patients.
