Short Description

Washington Governor Bob Ferguson signed Executive Order 25-9 that created the Governor’s Immigration Sub-Cabinet, which is tasked with promoting coordination between state agencies to address immigration-related issues facing those in the state. The sub-cabinet is required to report quarterly to the governor on its directives set forth in the order, which include (1) coordination between state entities, (2) enhancing access to resources, and (3) communicating with community stakeholders and members. The order also directed state agencies to review all data collecting, sharing, and retention policies.
