The Maryland legislature, through SB 792, requires all Maryland hospitals to adopt protocols, consistent with Attorney General guidance, for responding to immigration enforcement activity at their facilities, including recording officers’ credentials, contacting legal representation, and permitting agents into restricted areas only with a valid judicial warrant.
