New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill announced the creation of the Rapid Legal Response Initiative to expand the state’s legal capacity to assist with emergency immigration defense matters. The New Jersey Office of New Americans will administer the program, in partnership with Seton Hall University. The initiative will also include habeas corpus petitions and other federal litigation.
