Short Description

Portland’s permitting bureau issued a formal land-use violation notice to the owner of the privately operated ICE facility, which is subject to a conditional land-use approval limiting detention to 12 hours and prohibiting overnight holds. After ICE repeatedly violated those conditions, the notice triggered a review that could fine the owner, force correction, or lead to reconsideration of the property’s permitted use.
