Short Description

The Sacramento City Council approved an Immigration Community Action Plan, which the city manager is directed to implement. Provisions include (1) posting protocol for city staff on federal immigration enforcement and Know Your Rights flyers at all city offices, libraries, community centers, and other relevant property, (2) reaffirming that the city will not provide data or information in ways that facilitate civil immigration enforcement, (3) train city employees on policies impacting immigrant residents, (4) encouraging community members and community-based organizations to reach out to the city to partner on opportunities to support, prepare, and respond to support immigrants.
