Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger signed Executive Order 1 that (1) rescinds the previous VA governor’s EO No. 47 (2025), which required state law enforcement, and encouraged local law enforcement, to deputize their officers to act as ICE agents and (2) directs the state’s law enforcement agencies and divisions to terminate all existing 287(g) agreements with ICE
