Harrisburg, PA City Council unanimously passed an ordinance that prohibits city employees and police from enforcing federal immigration law, unless required by federal or state law. The ordinance requires a judicial warrant for federal immigration agents to enter non-public areas of city property and prohibits city employees from using city funds, property, or data to assist in investigating, detaining, or arresting someone because of their immigration status. Employees who violate the ordinance will face disciplinary action.
