Short Description

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu signed an executive order that bars federal immigration agents from using city buildings, parking lots, or parks for enforcement staging or operations relating to civil immigration enforcement. The order also details city guidance and plans relating to (1) de-escalation tactics during federal provocations and federal immigration enforcement encounters and (2) promoting transparency in federal conduct. The order also instructs the City of Boston Office of Neighborhood Services to create sign templates indicating no public access is available, for use by private property holders who aim to restrict private space from use for civil immigration enforcement measures.
