Short Description

Followed public backlash after the Camden, Delaware police department briefly entered a 287(g) agreement with ICE in spring 2025 and then withdrew it, the Delaware legislature enacted HB 182. This law prohibits Delaware law enforcement agencies from entering into 287(g) or other data-sharing agreements with federal immigration authorities, barring local police from enforcing federal immigration violations or sharing immigration-enforcement-related data with ICE; agencies with existing agreements had 30 days to terminate them.
