Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed an executive order creating the Governor’s Council ot Record the Truth of Operation Metro Surge and Operation PARRIS, the “Minnesota Truth Council”. The council is tasked with creating a comprehensive public record of the impacts of these two operations on Minnesota residents, including by conducting at least four public meetings. The final report will include findings and recommendations to prevent the recurrence of unlawful conduct by federal agents, document the harms Minnesotans endured from these operations, and track how Minnesotans came together to perserved during the operations.
