The Racine Common Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 0004-26, designating Racine a ‘Safe Space for Immigration Enforcement Purposes,’ prohibiting use of municipal resources for federal civil immigration enforcement, and generally barring face coverings by law enforcement officers absent undercover work or a documented safety need.
